ChatGPT will encourage you to take breaks

ChatGPT says it aims to make good use of your time spent searching for answers. The goal is to provide a tool that helps you move forward, learn something new, or quickly solve a problem and get back to your life.

Context

OpenAI claims that their measure of success is not the number of clicks or time spent on the platform—the most important thing is whether you achieved what you came for. The logic is that if ChatGPT is really useful, you will naturally want to use it again, maybe even subscribe. For example, you can use the tool to prepare for a difficult conversation with your boss, find out your blood test results, or untangle your confused thoughts.

New features, such as ChatGPT Agent, allow you to perform tasks even without the program itself—plan a birthday party, make a doctor's appointment, or organize your email inbox. Less time spent with ChatGPT means that it is working as it should.

What does this mean?

OpenAI says that AI should be friendly, but not falsely pleasant – that's why it's constantly improving the model's openness and real-world usefulness. It takes into account the emotional state of users: during long sessions, gentle reminders to take breaks will appear, and on complex issues ("Should I get divorced?"), ChatGPT will help you consider the options but will not make the decision for you.

Collaborations with doctors, mental health experts, and other researchers are underway to enable AI to respond better in critical situations, recognize emotional distress, and direct users to reliable resources. Perhaps if ChatGPT could show us the time spent per day or week just talking to this tool, we would be surprised at how much time we actually devote to it.

HEADLINES

  • Perplexity: Perplexity has been accused of circumventing website protections by masking its bots, changing IP addresses, and imitating browsers. Although Perplexity denies the accusations, Cloudflare has already removed the company from its list of trusted bots and taken additional measures against such "secret browsing."

  • Google Game Arena: Google has introduced Game Arena, a new Kaggle platform where artificial intelligence models will compete in games such as chess and the like. In these environments, the models will use text-based moves rather than programming libraries. This will help evaluate their logical thinking.

  • ChatGPT helps with investing: One Reddit user, N. Smith, decided to test how well ChatGPT could pick little-known stocks with $100. In the first month, the portfolio's value grew by 25% and outperformed most market indices. However, the experiment would not work without human intervention – Smith provides new data every day and applies risk management rules.

  • Tastier photos: New Uber Eats artificial intelligence tools for businesses can summarize customer reviews, create dish descriptions, and improve photos. For example, AI can improve a photo that is too close and poorly lit – improving presentation, expression, and framing, although the taste of the food will, of course, remain the same.

AI in practice: How to breathe new life into old photos?

If you have old, black-and-white photos and want to get a better idea of what they would look like in color, AI can help you bring them back to life. Cutout.pro will help you see your grandparents' farmhouses or childhood moments in new colors.

Step #1: Upload a photo

Scan or photograph the photo you have so that you have it in your computer files.
Upload it to cutout.pro and the tool will give you a colorized photo in a few seconds.

If you are not satisfied with the results of this tool, you can try the same function in others, such as Palette.fm or DeepAI Colorizer.

Step #2: Edit the photo

To improve the image, upload the photo to ChatGPT and add queries such as "Add a sunset in the background" or "Change the color of the suit to red" to get even more varied images.

So, next time you go to your relatives' birthday parties, you can surprise them with the colors of their youth brought back to life :)
